Croatia
I spent just under two weeks in Croatia late in the summer of 2006. Often touted as one of Europe's
"hippest" destinations, it didn't disappoint. Our trip was mainly geared around finding nice peaceful
places to chill out it. My favourites were Plitvice Lakes National Park - a truly stunning national park
comprising of over a dozen lakes at slightly different levels from one another all connected by waterfalls,
and Mljet Island National Park - which is accesible as a daytrip from Dubrovnik, but really it's much more
chilled if you go and stay out there for a night or two.
