Palmyra
| For me, not only was the abandoned Roman town of Palmyra spectacular in its own right, but it was made even more atmospheric by the general absence of other tourists. We got up just before sunrise and it was a couple of hours at least before we saw anyone else. What you see here is just one small part of it, it was impossible to capture the scale of it all on film, unless someone invents a lense that can shoot 360 degrees... | |
